In a statement issued by the Director, general services and administration of the local government, Mrs. Funmilayo Soberu disclosed today after a crucial management meeting ordered the termination of their engagements with immediate effect.
Mrs Soberu further explained that the decision to terminate the services is aimed at overhauling and enhancing the efficiency and transparency of revenue collection processes in the local government area.
She stressed the need that the measure is part of the present administration efforts of the local government to ensuring a more organized and accountable revenue generation system, adding that it would also foster sustainable economic growth in the local government.
She urged those affected by the termination to return all relevant documents in their possession to the office of the DGS&A or the office of Director, Finance and Supplies of the local government without delay.
