The Tinubu/Kashim Elders Mobilisation Circle of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has voiced deep concern over the escalating economic hardships affecting Nigerians.
Speaking to journalists on Monday, the group’s secretary, Isah Marafa, highlighted the severe toll of rising inflation, soaring living costs, and deteriorating conditions in critical sectors such as security, healthcare, and education.
Marafa emphasized that the surge in fuel prices has impacted "every aspect of the average Nigerian's life," compounding the struggles faced by citizens.
While acknowledging efforts by President Bola Tinubu’s administration to stabilize the economy, Marafa urged the government to implement swift and decisive measures to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.
“Our leaders must address the current economic hardship. Poor Nigerians need immediate relief,” Marafa stated, urging Bauchi State authorities to take proactive steps in supporting their communities during these challenging times.
In addition to government intervention, Marafa called on Nigerians to seek divine help for the nation’s recovery. “Only God can lift us,” he said, urging collective prayers for a turnaround in the country’s fortunes.
The plea from the APC elders underscores the urgency for both immediate relief measures and long-term solutions to address Nigeria’s mounting economic challenges, as millions continue to grapple with the rising cost of living.
