Ogun Councillor , Waheed Akomolafe Bags Sabo Stayte Award of Recognition

…Dedicates Award To Mentor, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde 

The Councillor representing Ward 8 Aboekuta North local government who also serve as the Deputy Leader of the local government legislative arm Hon. Waheed Akomolafe, has been honoured with the prestigious Sabo Stayte Award of Recognition. 

The award ceremony took place during the annual Sabo Stayte end of the year carnival . An event aimed at acknowledging individuals who have made significant contributions to the community.

Presenting the award, the Chairman of the 2024 Sabo State Planning Committee, Mr. Suraj Ibrahim commended Hon. Akomolafe for his unwavering commitment and support to the development of the Sabo community. 

Suraj, said the award symbolizes recognition of exceptional leadership, dedication, and positive impact on the lives of residents.

“Hon. Akomolafe’s contributions to the growth and development of this community cannot be overemphasized,” he said.

In his acceptance speech, Hon. Waheed Akomolafe expressed gratitude to the planning committee and the people of the Sabo community for the recognition. 

He dedicated the award to his political mentor- APC Chairman, Abeokuta north Local Government Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde emphasizing that his achievements were made possible by her unwavering support and trust.

“I am deeply humbled by this honour. It inspires me to continue working hard for the betterment of not only Ward 8 but the entire Abeokuta North Local Government,” Hon. Akomolafe said. 

The event, which drew notable dignitaries, traditional leaders, and members of the public, celebrated the importance of community service. 

Attendees lauded the Sabo Stayte Committee for recognizing deserving individuals who have actively worked towards the progress of their community.
