In a communique issued at the end of the meeting and made available to newsmen by the Public Relations Officer of the association, Mrs Folakemi Babatunde, stated that the State Executive Council (SEC) unanimously passed a vote of confidence on Osibeluwo, lauding his leadership and commitment to the progress of Ogun NAPPS.
According to the communique, the SEC also resolved that Ogun NAPPS should maintain a neutral stance amidst recent controversies, emphasizing that the association remains under the firm leadership of Otunba Osibeluwo.
Addressing a purported declaration made on the association’s platform, the SEC declared the office of the Vice Chairman vacant.
Similarly, the chairman’s seat of the Obafemi Owode Local Government chapter was also declared vacant, with assurances that consultations with the local chapter would guide the next steps.
The communique further appreciated the dedication of local chapters and their chairmen who have remained steadfast in advancing the association’s objectives.
The communique urged members to uphold and comply with the resolutions to ensure the association’s stability and growth.
“All SEC members passed a vote of confidence on our President Otunba Osibeluwo.
“Members unanimously resolved that Ogun NAPPS should remain NEUTRAL .
“That on the purported declaration, the SEC headed by Otunba Joshua Adekunle Osibeluwo remain firmly in charge of Ogun NAPPS.
“With the illegal proclamation on the platform yesterday, the seat of the vice chairman is hereby declared vacant .
“The chairman seat of Obafemi Owode local government also remain vacant. We shall consult the local government on a way forward for the chapter.
“The SEC led by Otunba Joshua Adekunle Osibeluwo appreciate all the local chapters and their chairmen that have committed themselves to the progress of NAPPS. Together we shall achieve progress.
“That all members of Ogun NAPPS are enjoined to uphold this decision and comply with it. “
The meeting was attended by key executives, including the Secretary, Mr. Kemi Yunus, and other principal officers such as the Treasurer, Mr. Adeyemi Smith, the PRO, Mrs. Folakemi Babatunde, and the Financial Secretary, Mrs. Mojisola Edun among others.
