Court Clears Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy in Mohbad’s Death Case-OXYGIST

A Lagos court has exonerated Nigerian singer and Marlian Music boss, Abdulazeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, along with his associates, Samson Balogun Eletu (Sam Larry) and Owodunni Ibrahim (Primeboy), of any involvement in the death of singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Mohbad, a fast-rising music star, passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27, sparking widespread speculation and allegations against several individuals, including Naira Marley and Sam Larry. However, according to Channels TV, the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP) issued legal advice confirming that the trio had no case to answer. Based on this directive, Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje implemented the court’s decision, officially clearing them of any wrongdoing.

While Naira Marley, Sam Larry, and Primeboy have been discharged, the court ruled that Feyisayo Ogedengbe, the auxiliary nurse who treated Mohbad before his death, and Ayobami Sadiq, a friend of the late singer, would face prosecution. They are to be charged with reckless and negligent acts, in violation of Section 251 (e) of the Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, Laws of Lagos State, 2015.

This latest ruling marks a new phase in the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s tragic death, as legal proceedings continue against those still facing charges.
