BREAKING: Lagos Court Orders Oba Otudeko to Appear for N30bn Fraud Trial-OXYGIST

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered Oba Otudeko, the founder of Honeywell Group, to appear and enter a plea in the N30 billion loan fraud case filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The directive was issued by Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke on Monday, March 17 during a court hearing.

The EFCC had earlier filed a 13-count charge against Otudeko and three others over alleged financial misconduct. However, at the hearing, Justice Aneke ruled that Otudeko must first take his plea before the court can consider any application challenging its jurisdiction.

Following this ruling, the judge adjourned the case to May 8 for further proceedings.
