Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has vacated the Government House in Port Harcourt along with his family and security personnel.

Reports indicate that the governor and his family moved out on the morning of Wednesday, March 19, just hours after President Bola Tinubu declared a State of Emergency in Rivers State.

The president's directive also included the suspension of Governor Fubara, his deputy, and members of the State House of Assembly for a period of six months due to the ongoing political crisis in the state.

The situation in Rivers State remains tense as political stakeholders and residents await further developments.
