Major Hurdle in Osimhen’s Potential Move to Juventus Revealed-OXYGIST

Juventus remains the top Italian club eyeing a summer move for Victor Osimhen, but a major roadblock stands in their way—Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.

According to Il Mattino, Juventus cannot simply trigger Osimhen’s release clause, as the €75 million buyout option applies exclusively to foreign clubs. This means the Turin giants must engage directly with De Laurentiis, who is reportedly reluctant to sell the Nigerian striker to a domestic rival.

The Italian newspaper describes the negotiation as "complicated," emphasizing that while Juventus has been in talks with Osimhen’s representatives for some time, De Laurentiis remains a significant obstacle.

“The Napoli owner is not keen on selling the Super Eagles star to a Serie A competitor, which is why the €75 million clause is only valid for foreign clubs,” Il Mattino stated.

For Juventus to secure Osimhen, they must negotiate a separate agreement with Napoli—something that won’t be easy. However, as the transfer market has shown time and again, anything is possible.
