In a statement signed by him issued to newsmen on Tuesday, Fajimi emphasized the importance of seeking forgiveness, not only on an individual level but also for the nation as a whole.
He urged Muslims to remain steadfast in their devotion, showing kindness, charity, and humility in line with the teachings of Islam.
“Ramadan is a sacred time for spiritual renewal, and as we progress into its second phase, I encourage every Nigerian to pray for forgiveness and divine intervention in our personal lives and our nation.
"Our country is facing many challenges, and this is a time to seek Allah’s mercy and guidance,” Fajimi said.
He advised that beyond fasting and prayers, Nigerians should uphold the virtues of patience, love, and unity, which are essential for national growth and peace.
Fajimi also commended Muslims for their dedication to fasting and adherence to Islamic principles during this period, urging them to continue making positive impacts in their communities.
