A tragic incident has rocked Punjab province in Pakistan, where a father allegedly shot and killed his teenage daughter after she refused to delete her TikTok account, according to local police reports released on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Dhok Choudrian Takht Pari, a community in the Rawalpindi district.
Authorities revealed that the father had repeatedly pressured his daughter to take down her TikTok profile, believing it to be inappropriate. But when she stood her ground, a heated argument broke out — ending with the father allegedly shooting her dead on the spot.
Police confirmed that the suspect fled immediately after the incident, sparking a manhunt. An official First Information Report (FIR) has been filed as the investigation intensifies.
Initial statements from the family claimed the young girl had taken her own life. However, forensic experts uncovered evidence pointing to foul play, contradicting the suicide claim.
“The case is now being treated as a murder, and we are working tirelessly to track down the suspect,” a senior police officer stated.
The victim’s body has been sent for autopsy, and authorities say more details will emerge as the investigation unfolds.
