Nigerian realtor and owner of Olageospatial Global Investment Company (OGIC), Surveyor Fashina Olajide has felicitated with the Muslim Faithfuls in the country on the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
Fashina urged Muslim faithful to look beyond the merriment of the period and focus more on praying for peace and harmony, which, according to him, would ensure progress and development of the nation.
He said, “During this feast, we should ensure that we truly imbibe the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim, who, in obedience to God’s directive, almost sacrificed his only son.
“Beyond the sacrifice, we should also not relent in praying for peace, unity and religious tolerance, which are essential to sustaining the glory of the nation.”
The OGIC MD further explained that the Sallah season was another opportunity for all Muslims and residents of Ogun State to reflect on the act of total submission, unconditional love, sharing and forgiveness by championing the cause of the weak and the oppressed.
"Muslims could best express their gratitude to God by living in peace and by harnessing the country’s diversity in order to explore and exploit the numerous opportunities that God had endowed Nigeria with" he affairmed.
