Before his aspiration, Olumide Jones has done great things ,both in his constituency and the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State.
In it's bid to fast track the E-registration of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) registration of members and the public, Hon. Olumide Jones donated six laptops in each local government in ogun central.
The laptops was presented at the PDP secretariat in Abeokuta the state capital.
While receiving the laptops, the Senatorial Chairman Ogun Central Senatorial district Hon. Akinlabi Taiwo appreciated Olumide Jones for the donation saying that it will help the E- registration of PDP and INEC in Ogun Central Senatorial district to be faster.
Olumide Jones kind gesture moves to his constituency by organizing a free eye test programme with the aim reducing incidence of avoidable blindness in the society.
Olumide Jones gave thousands of residents of Ogun State living in Abeokuta North, South, Ewekoro, Ifo, Odeda and Obafemi Owode Local government area free eye test and free cataract operations.
Olumide Jones support and put smiles on the faces of people by helping them not only with treatment and medications in furtherance of its efforts to fill the vacuum in the health sector towards producing an environment filled with healthy people.
This initiative help health professionals to detect certain eye conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration, which could lead to sight loss.
Also, Olumide Jones completed the payment for the complete renovation of the Ewekoro Local Government Secretariat which has been abandoned for years.
The Secretariat which has been Abandoned and in shambles received the attention of the senatorial aspirant when his Campaign Manager visited the Local Government in August 2021.
Hon. Olumide Jones has kept to his promise having completed the payment for the complete renovation of the Secretariat.
In Ifo local government, Hon. Olumide Jones has changed the face of the party secretariat .Jones said that rebranding and promoting the secretariat remains a priority to him.The passers by are now feeling the presence of the party in the local government as the secretariat is now wearing a new look.
Furthermore, Hon. Olumide Jones paid a scheduled visit to Baptist Boys High School Saje in Abeokuta where he used the opportunity to visit one of the ongoing Multimillionaire project under his watch.
The project is said to be the Alake sport Pavilion that is ready to gulp over 100 million naira.
The project which is one of the several projects supported by Hon Olumide Jones himself who is the secretary of the fund raising Committee also have the support of the Business Mongul Dr Kessington Adebutu and his son Hon Dr Ladi Adebutu has part of the donors for the project.
During the festive period, Hon Olumide Akintunde Jones donated loads of rice to people Democratic party's loyalists across Ogun central, express his gratitude for their unflinching support over the year.In the quest of appreciating and making party loyalists happy during this fiesta period, the PDP chieftaincy, Hon. Olumide Jones donated loads of rice to PDP's members across 6 local governments in Ogun central.
The items came in as expected by the members of the party which was received by senatorial chairman, Chief Taiwo Akinlabi at party secretariat where the chairman lauded the philanthropist for his earnest support over the year and has really showed how committed he's to the rescue mission of Ogun State.
The items was shared to appreciate the efforts of the members of the party in the senatorial district which comprises of Abeokuta south, Abeokuta North, Odeda Local, Ifo, Ewekoro and Obafemi owode to complement the principal's contribution to the party.
Meanwhile, ahead of 2023 general elections, Ogun State Peoples Democratic (PDP ) senatorial aspirant Hon. Olumide Jones picked the Party nomination form to represent them in the Senate.
He said that the session in which he was presented with the nomination form was not only auspicious but memorable; adding that he will reciprocate it by providing Ogun Central with exemplary leadership if eventually elected.
He said he has what it takes to win the election for PDP in 2023 because of his pedigree and closeness with the grassroots.
Jones added that he has contributed immensely to the growth of PDP in the state, and expressed confidence that if nominated, he will win the elections.
