After a successful primary elections, Afolabi Afuape clinched the APC ticket, to represent the party in contesting as a member House of Representatives, Abeokuta south Federal constituency, in the 2023 general elections.
Reacting, Sunday Akamo, thanked God and all his supporters, noting that everybody won the election and Afuape’s experience was displayed at the exercise.
“I see it as win win . Nobody lost, everybody won. And it shows Hon. Afolabi Afuwape’s experience.”
“Most especially, I congratulate the winner of this election. Whenever the time comes for the campaign, we will all rally round with him to make sure our party wins this general election in Abeokuta South federal constituency.”
He promise to step up his political game by building himself personally.
“All the leaders and Governor Dapo Abiodun started from somewhere, our national leader started from somewhere, As a young politician I wish to continue, to see my people and my supporters on what we can give back to the society.”
“I can't be discouraged with this, have prepared myself and have gained some political experience in this just concluded primary.”
Speaking to his loyalists, he pleaded with them to be calm while assuring them of better days ahead.
“My advice for them is to remain calm, our Party APC is a progressive party, once election is done and the winner has emerged, the next thing is to support the winner of that election , there's nothing like working against the party interest or working against the person that emerged. We have to team up together and make sure we deliver in the general election, once again I promise them I'll not let them down.” Hon. Akamo noted.
