Nigerian Army Day Celebration: Over 300 people enjoy free medical services in Ogun

No fewer than 300 persons have received free medical care from the medical team of 35 Artillery Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Ogun state as part of activities lined up to mark the 2022 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL).

The Nigerian army carried out medical outreach at the Palace of the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remo land situated at Sagamu, Ogun State, with all the participants.

The Brigade Commander, Brigadier Gen.Isa Mahadi Abdullahi Commander of 35 Artillery Brigade Alamala during his remarks hinted that the outreach was aimed at improving the health of the people, as well as promote civil military coordination activities.

He said the medical team will conduct vital science for community people that have one or two issues and to also check eye related ailments and give out eye glasses and drugs for those people that have been diagnosed with issues medically related .

His words "This week is a very important week for the Nigerian Army , it's important in the sense that the Nigerian Army is marking the Nigeria Army Day Celebration 

"The event started on Friday with the prayers at the mosque, and on Sunday the inter-denominational church service, on Saturday we carried out sanitation exercise at lafenwa community and today we are going to carry out a medical outreach programme for Sagamu community.  The programme will last till evening . The medical team will be conducting vital science for community people that have one or two issues and to also check eye related ailments and give out eye glasses and drug for those that have been diagnosed with issues medically related , so this is to promote our civil military coordination activities which the military has been known for and also to give back to the civil society by the way of showing appreciation to our community .

"I want most sincerely thank his royal majesty Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi for allowing us to carry out this important occasion here . I want to also thank Sagamu community for turning up in this large number ."

In his remarks, the Akarigbo and Paramount ruler of Remo land His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi said he feel delighted with what the Nigerian Army has as done saying that the medical outreach is a benefit that the people will enjoy the unique services that is been rendered by the Nigerian Army .

One of the beneficiaries Comrade Folami Abdul Abiodun  commended the Nigerian Army for the free medical service giving to them.

"This is a good achievements on the part of the military. 

"They are now letting the people at the grassroot know that they're important and the grassroot people are also important to the Army.

"This time around, Army have been aquinted with us and therefore what's good for the good is also good for the gander.

"They have done well, there are many people here who can't go to the hospital because of money and now that this things have been brought to their door step, they're now coming in multitude. That's a very good achievements on the part of the military" he submitted.
