Ogun: FRSC trains 35 personnels on traffic management , public enlightenment

Abeokuta, July 15, 2022 (NAN) The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun on Friday trained its personnel on traffic management and public enlightenment on road safety.

Speaking at the workshop in Abeokuta, Mr Ahmed Umar, the state Sector Commander,  said that the essence of the workshop was to prevent road traffic crashes and to improve personnel capacity and competence in road safety management.

Umar, who explained that the workshop, organised for the FRSC Local government station officers across the state would further equiped the officers with necessary skills and education.

The sector commander appealed to the FRSC staff members to make good use of the opportunity of learning the new ideas on traffic management.

" The essence of the workshop is to further enlightened the staff on their responsibilities as expected in various local governments  in the state to make them operate up to expectations when carrying out their duties.

" We want them to go to the grassroot and educate drivers at the parks , schools, Churches, Mosque  on how to prevent  road traffic crashes.

"The officers were sent to the local government to achieve FRSC mandate," he said.

The FRSC boss urged the officers to imbibe new ideas and knowledge in order to ensure effective service delivery to the motoring public.

Umar urged the officers to continue to ensure discipline on the highways and also put an end to the menace of dangerous driving and overloading.(NAN)
