Ogun PDP Chieftain Calls for Resolution of ASUU Strike

A Chieftain in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State Hon olumide Jones has called on the Federal Government to resolve issues associated with the Academic Staff Union of Universities strike.

Jones disclosed this in a phone interview with newsmen on Sunday.

He showed  his unhappiness to the way the Government is handling the issue and why the strike still going on after 5 month.

The PDP Chieftain asked  
the Federal Government to speedily find a lasting solution to the incessant strike action by university workers.

According to him "it's very dangerous when this kind of strike action is going on in our Education sector.

"Education is one area that a serious Government should put resources together to ensure smooth running.

"But it's very unfortunate that Buhari lead administration till today has not been able to profound solution to the strike action that is 5 month hold.

"I can never imagine this happening in a developed country, and every developed country aspiring to be great will never joke with education because that's where  the greatness and where researches and discoveries were made.

"Am not expecting Government to play politics with life of the children in school,every parents should speak up against the action of the federal government .

"How can a student be at home for over 5 month because of strike action, that's insane and uncalled for. We all must rise up to compel the ASUU and Federal government to find a common ground to resolve the issue, considering the future of the younger ones in this country" he submitted.
