This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Ogun State PDP Publicity Secretary Asiwaju Bankole Akinloye on Sunday.

"With the above inspiration, the Ogun state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP felicitates and congratulates the good people of Osun state and indeed, entire PDP family and our loyal supporters on the resounding electoral success recorded in the just concluded Osun guber election where the people peacefully trooped out in their numbers to exercise their democratic rights as they elected His Excellency, Sen. Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke.
"Our party is particularly excited by uncommon and patriotic courage displayed by Osun voters against all manners of criminal inducements by the ruling APC and its agencies that, without any shade of doubts, power, truly belongs to the people.
"Yesterday's victory remains a symbolic attestation to the fact that no amount of money is big enough to buy a determined mind. The determination of osun people is no doubts, a tremendous source of inspiration. It is highly commendable.
"While we appreciate and commend unprecedented professionalism displayed by men and officers of the Nigerian Police and of course, all other security agencies, we hail and salute officers of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC for their fairness and transparency of the electoral process. We sincerely hope and pray that all improvements recorded so far in the conduct of credible democratic contest are sustained, going forward.
