The tree were planted at the Buckswood school on Thursday in Abeokuta.
Speaking at the event, Governor of District 9110, Rotarian Omotunde Lawson said the campaign was aimed at enhancing awareness of the importance of environmental management among students.
According to her, plants have symbiotic relationship which human beings benefit from.
She explained that planting of trees would improve the effects of global warming saying many living things live under the protection of the tree.
"Without nutrients we can not survive , we just have to green our environment," she said.
Also speaking, the Imaginative President, Rotary Club of Abeokuta Metropolitan, Babatunde Aremu maintained that planting trees provides oxygen for people to breathe easily just as it protects the environment.
He urged other nongovernmental organisations to embark on projects that would impact human lives just as trees protect and beautify the environment.
"This tree plantation will succeed in Ogun state because we are in collaboration with the ministry of forestry that will supervise all the trees and make sure it serves their purpose .
"Government cannot do it alone; we just have to come together to help so as to achieve what is needed to have a good standard of living," Aremu added.
Responding, the famous biker, Adeyanju appreciated the club for honouring him, saying it made him feel loved.
According to him, his course is to promote the eradication of Polio all over the world especially in Africa.
He said he intended to use the ride to create awareness and mobilise funds for the eradication of Polio.
He thanked them for planting trees in his honour, saying it's one of the seven areas of focus of the club in order to protect the environment.
"With this exercise, Rotary in her humanitarian activities is creating the awareness and implementing this in collaboration with major stakeholders
"My intention is to use the ride to create awareness and mobilise fund for the cause of Polio eradication," he said
The deputy Academic Director of BucksWood School Nigeria, Mr Olusoji Odusile said tree planting is a way of minimising global warming .
He added that the importance of tree planting cannot be over-emphasised, saying that it beautifies the environment.
"I just want to say that this culture should not stop, if we have trees planted all over, it also beautifies the environment, so trees planting should be a continuous exercise and I will advice that everyone should join in this way of aforestation.
