Soneye emerges APC house of assembly candidate for Obafemi Owode constituency

 


Hon. Damilola Soneye has emerged House of Assembly candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Obafemi Owode constituency.

Soneye , current member of the assembly emerged unopposed at a fresh election held at Obafemi Owode local government secretariat and supervised by Representative of the party from APC National, Abuja.

Members of the Electoral Committee were Mr Haruna Adesina Ogunsola as Chairman while, Hon Funmilola Akinbayo and Hon Dare Ojole were members.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials who observed the fresh election were 

Alhaji Biliaminu Salami and 

Mrs Busola Akinsola..

Mr Sulaimon Mujaid Ajibola, who had earlier won the first primary election, was said to have voluntarily withdrew due to discrepancies in the credentials submitted to the party and INEC 

The party had ordered a fresh election because of the development.

Speaking to newsmen, Soneye, the incumbent lawmaker promised to continue to contribute his quarter to the development of Obafemi Owode local governments.

He appreciated members of the party for the support rendered so far, saying that he would continue to facilitate more developmental projects to the constituency.
