The youngest gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming general election in Ogun State, Hon Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin has officially dumped the New Nigeria People’s Party, and picked the gubernatorial ticket of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state.

Fayoyin, in a statement made available to newsmen in Friday night expressed optimism and hope to defeat the present administration in the 2023 general election.

He explained that he dumped NNPP because of the political gimmick at the National level of the party.

Fayoyin noted his desire to serve the people of the state made him joined ADC so as to fulfill his vision of bringing governance to the people.

He said, "my goal is to change the narrative of this state, with the platform of  my party. The political gimmick of NNPP at the national level have made me to dump the party for a more democratic and promising ADC.

"I will be contesting the governorship under ADC and victory is sure. I have no grudge against the leadership of NNPP and I wish them well as we shall meet at the poll.

Fayoyin however explained that he was never disqualified by the Independent National Electoral Commission as widely reported.

He noted, "I was never disqualified by INEC as reported by some media, and my style of politics is Progressive and people oriented. These have been my focus since I picked up the baton few months ago, and I have received tremendous support from different sectors of the state. We shall emphasize on grassroots development and social security in every nocks and grannies of the state.”

The guber candidate also promised that ADC will not only liberate the state, it will also reposition it among the south west states in Nigeria.
