Ogun NSCDC State Commandant Charges Newly Promoted Officers On Efficiency, Professionalism, Others

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ogun State Command Headquarters, Abeokuta, Commandant Niyi L. Ajibola, has charged newly promoted officers in the command to work effectively and professionally in the discharge of their duties.

He gave the charge during the decoration of 162 personnel of the command with their new ranks on Friday at the State Command's Permanent Site, Kobape Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Ajibola described the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi (PhD, mni), as a dynamic and responsive leader  that has come up with a lot of initiatives and ideas which the personnel could drive with all sense of responsibility and commitment to the betterment of the nation especially considering the various insurgencies daring us in the face.
According to Ajibola, some of the CG's initiatives amongst others are "The creation of the Counter-Terrorism Unit which is to counter all acts of terrorism in one form or the other across the country. We also have the Agro- Rangers outfit which is to address the issue of the farmers/herders crisis. This is another laudable effort of my amiable CG in his drive to raise the tempo of the Corps for more performance in achieving our mandates", he intoned.

He also added that, "Motivation plays a lot of roles in enhancing the capacity of human resources to perform and deliver. Promotion is the motivation to perform more and this calls for more responsibility. Our work is so structured that there are commensurate activities for each rank. It is our hope that as they get to these ranks, they will perform excellently well".

 The State Commandant charged the personnel to protect the image of the Corps adding that the promotion came with more responsibilities.
He urged those who were not promoted to exercise patience and continue to perform their duties diligently.

According to him, "This promotion is an ongoing thing and I can assure you that the next one will be more than this."

Ajibola further explained that only 1 Deputy Commandant was decorated, 3 Assistant Commandants, 3 Chief Superintendents of Corps, 2 Superintendents of Corps, 1 Deputy Suprintendent of Corps , 3 Assistant  Superintendents of Corps l, 3 Assistant Suprintendent Of Corps ll and others were also decorated. 

The State Commandant said that the promotion was encouraging and would motivate officers and men of the Corps to be more dedicated in their various assignments.
