Governor Dapo Abiodun building enduring Legacies in Ogun State, insights of Bayo Adenekan

Ogun state government is set to fully take advantage of the soon to be completed agro cargo airport in the state with different schemes being developed around the agro allied development zone.

Senior special assistant to the governor on development partners coordination (finance) and member of public affairs Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign council Mr Bayo Adenekan made this revelation while featuring on Law FM 103.9 political discussion programme titled 'Power Corridor' in Lagos.

The Senior Special Assistant said the government has completed over four hundred kilometres of road spreading across different parts of the state within the space of three years and still doing more with a focus on addressing infrastructure deficit.

Adenekan said the government has opened a public private partnership office with a director general as a demonstration of the belief of the administration in a working partnership with private sector to develop the economy and create individual prosperity for the people.
The development consultant stated that the Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration had a clear vision for the state and broke down into five pillars which ISEYA stands for as seen in the landmark achievements recorded in the areas of agriculture, infrastructure, social welfare, youth empowerment and education.

He gave the example of the Lekki/Epe/Ijebu, Abeokuta/Sagamu and internal roads spreading across different parts of the state as some of the major achievements recorded in infrastructure.
Being the cardinal focus of the administration, attention has shifted towards Sango/Ota, Atan/Lusada/Agbara/Badagri/Mile 2 road which are now being attended to as a way of further opening up the economy of the state and making life meaningful to the people while a lot of palliative works are also being carried out on federal roads within the state.

The Central Bank of Nigeria anchor borrowers programme where the beneficiaries who are youths are called agro preneur with over 50 thousand youths already engaged while the NG CARES programme is to be launched as a form of response against COVID where the youths and vulnerable people will be targeted.

Responding to some of the issues raised by listeners on the state of infrastructure of roads in some border communities in the state, Adenekan said this is what the citizens budget stakeholders engagement across the four divisions of Remo, Ijebu, Yewa, Egba to take input directly from the people has been set up to achieve and added that some of the roads would have been captured in the just concluded engagement meetings in the four zones in the state. 

The SSA also revealed that the government is focused on ensuring that the infrastructure deficit inherited from the previous administration is addressed while setting the state on the path of development.

He stated that the current administration believes in a working partnership with private sector and has been part of the success story of the last three years.
