The club made this know through the 22nd President of Abeokuta Unique Lions', Lion Temitope Ayoola Olabimtan during his inauguration and public presentation as the new president of the club in the district.
Lion Olabimtan while speaking to newsmen in Abeokuta hinted that October been the month of Cancer awareness,and as part of the tradition of the club been a service to humanity club it has to give free medical test and foot medical bills of anyone who test positive to cancer during the exercise and therefore for the need to raise funds during the inauguration.
He also hinted that the club would also give free eye test gives free glasses,dig boreholes to its host community.
The club been an international is Non Government and is centered at given reliefs to the needy and vulnerable.
He however call on all other executives and members of the club to rise up and support his reign to give in given to the society as he can not to it alone.
"Today I am been inaugurated as the 22nd President of Abeokuta Unique Lions Club,as our usual tradition after inauguration you must to as project within a month,so the need for fund raising and public presentation comes in.
Also October every year is known for Cancer awareness,so this month through to next month we would be having free medical test on cancer for the people of Abeokuta and we will also foot the bills of anyone who test positive of the deadly disease". He said
