Bolaji Amusan who is currently the President of Theater Art and Motion Pictures Practitioner Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) disclosed that the diploma was not his first certificate, saying that he an Alumni of Ajayi Crowther University.
Mr Latin told Oxygist online noted that profession without certificate in any educational background will not gain recognition, hence, the diploma.
Bolaji Amusan expressed gratitude to Almighty God for the privilege given to him.
He said "This is not my first academic prowess, I'm an Alumni of Ajayi crowther university and also a student of National Open University of Nigeria .
He added that the name "Bola Ajibola " spurred him to school at Crescent University .
His words "If you are professional in any field you choose, If you don't have certificate or educational background, it will be use for rating, for value, and fortunate to me a practical actor, without that certificate , they will see you as if you don't know anything.
"We are the first set here, and we are popular and known actors, and I think with this, other university will emulate this kind gesture so that it can be of benefits to people out there.
"I am the President of TAMPAN, Theater Art and Motion Pictures Practitioner Association of Nigeria , I am the global President , we practice in the UK, USA, CANADA ,DUBAI, GHANA, and also in Nigeria. If I'm here as a student, definitely what am doing is to lead. Am here as a pathfinder , we encourage our members to be here next semester " he submitted.
Meanwhile, the Head of Department of Mass Communication Crescent University, Dr Kola Adesina said that the primary purpose of the University is to serve it's local environment and add value to whatever is going on there.
"So what we have done here is to add value to cultural narratives and the issue having our traditional narratives ,our norms and values brought back into film and acting in Nigeria .
"We noticed that the Nollywood are about to leave Nigeria to start competing with Hollywood and Bollywood .
"This programme is to tell them that we have enough in our culture , traditions and values and that is what the world want us to exhibit , not trying to speak the American of British in our films. We should promote our cultural values, our heritage, our narratives.
"There are millions of phrases , proverbs in our cultural narratives, enough to make thousands of films , so this is what this programme is about , to bring Nollywood back to what it should be.
"Then again, the National University Commission have said, Mass communication should be unbundled, into about eight courses, Film and Media Studies, Advertising, Radio, Online Journalism development communication.
"We have done what we call a pilot test, in Ogun State , we want to make it national, for example, the Ogun State programme was deep in Yoruba exhibition of language and narratives but he next programme will be national .
"Whatever language , if it's Kannywood, if it's the Igbo side of Nollywood, even Ghana, the programme will be open wider and make it broader so that people from different backgrounds and different languages can benefit from it ".
