The association of Egun Farmers in Ogun State on Saturday honour Governor Dapo Abiodun for Supporting Egun People in Agriculture.
The President of the Association, Romain Pakpo, said that the Governor's support to Egun people has contributed to the Self-confidence of Egun Youths who are now active players in various agricultural value chain opportunities in Ogun State.
He disclosed this in an event held at Kobape, Abeokuta Ogun State capital.
The Union of Egun Farmers under the platform of “Momo Couffou” praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for recognizing and deliberately supporting Egun people, particularly those in the farming industry.
They were full of praise for the linkage of their Members to Land, inputs, and markets.
The event is well attended by High profile Egun Traditional Rulers in Ogun State and the Neighboring Republic of Benin; Customs and Immigration officers operating in Egun communities in border areas as well as other security agencies.
As part of the event, the Governor received an award of appreciation through his Commissioner for Agriculture Dr Adeola Odedina.
