Hosting National Sports Festival will enhance socio -economic development in Ogun- Abiodun's Aide

The Special Assistant on Youth and Sports to Ogun State Governor, Comrade Olamide Lawal has lauded the Governor's bid to host the 2024 National Sports Festival.

Olamide Lawal  said hosting the National Sports Festival would enhance socio -economic development of the state.

He disclosed this during the 2022 edition of Premier five aside's end of the year party held at Premier Grammar School, Lafenwa- rounder road, Abeokuta.

Lawal noted that the premier five aside football competition was in line with the agenda of the present administration in the state to empower the youths through sports.

In his remarks, the Ogun State Senatorial Candidate under the umbrella of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Chief Olumide Aderinokun promised to sponsor bills that will affect the lives of people positively especially the youths if elected in the forthcoming elections.
The PDP senatorial candidate in Ogun state noted that the contributions of youths to socio economic development of any nation could not be underestimated hence the need for programmes and initiatives that would assist them in achieving their set goals.

Chief Aderinokun expressed satisfaction with the organisation of the premier five aside competition and promised to key into the programme towards the development of youths in the area.

Earlier, the grand commander of Premier 5 aside club, Mr Akeem Adesina explained that the competition was introduced to foster unity among various communities in the area through football.

Mr Adesina who is also the chief host, said various intervention programmes had taken place in Premier Grammar School as a way of contributing to the education sector.

He pointed out that apart from the social aspect of the end of the year programme, members of the club had benefited through various empowerment programmes.
