Ogun NSCDC To Deploy 3,000 Operatives for 2023 elections

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ogun State is set to deploy 3,000 operatives to ensure peace during the upcoming general elections in Nigeria.

The Ogun State NSCDC Commandant , Niyi L. Ajibola disclosed this during a strategic management meeting on Tuesday held at their State Command Headquarters, Kobape Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

The NSCDC boss said the meeting is to reposition its formations for better service delivery across the State.

According to him, "The Corps Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, has charged all State Commands to be ready for a free, fair and credible elections across their jurisdictions. 

He added that the Commandant General is very critical about protection of all critical national assets and infrastructure across the country.

Commandant Niyi Ajibola charged all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Heads of Departments and Units to ensure their focus is in tandem with the missions and visions of the Corps.

His words "We are ready for the elections both mentally and physically. We have also put in place the necessary needs for our strategic, tactical and operational officers and men for the task ahead and with all the signals available to us, we are good to go", he submitted.

He noted that the consistent gathering of actionable intelligence and covert surveillance across the State Command formations are key to the successful execution of security threats in and around the State.
He urged all personnel across Ogun NSCDC to embrace synergy, collaboration and unity with other security agencies in other to achieve result-oriented services to the people.
