Shuaib polled the highest number of votes in the election held across 6 local government areas of the state.

She said "I want to congratulate our newest Senator- elect, Alhaji Salisu Shuaib on his landslide victory at the just-concluded Ogun Central Senatorial election held on Saturday, 25th of February, 2023.
The APC chairman submitted that the former Chief of Staff will not disappoint his constituents at the National Assembly, adding that when he was the chief of Staff he performed greatly well.
