Recalled that the former Governor, Sen. Ibukunle Amosun started a construction of airport in Wasimi and the project has been abandoned by the current administration led by Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Speaking at a campaign rally today in Ewekoro local government where the ADC Candidate met with party members and traditional rulers of the local government, Barrister Otegbeye said it was regrettably that the current administration could erased the airport project to punish Ewekoro people.
He added that the state is prosperous to have two airports but the governor abandoned the project because he wants to punish the Egbas.
He therefore reiterated his commitment towards ensuring that Ogun State enjoy the dividends of democracy if emerged in the coming election.
According to him " The previous administration initiated an airport project in ewekoro local government , this government got there and erase it completely . We have nothing against airport been sighted in Iperu , infact, it's good, but must you build one to kill another?
"Ogun State is prosperous enough to have two airport, but they have done it because they want to punish the Egba people and Ewekoro will reject that , all the effort became wasted because of politics ."
The candidate equally frowned at how the traditional rulers especially Baales have been treated by the state government saying that there's no pattern of development for them .
He maintained that his administration will respect traditional institution and appoint committee that will see to the development of all the communities.
He therefore appealed to electorate to come out enmass and vote for all ADC candidates in the forthcoming election.
In there separate remarks, the Onipapa of Papalanto, Oba AbdulRasaq Jimoh and the Alawowo of Awowo, Oba Tijani Olasunkanmi wished all the ADC candidates for a successful election.
Earlier, the Alawowo of Awowo, Oba Tijani Olasunkanmi while receiving the campaign train at his palace lamented on how the Balees are been treated, appealed to the ADC Candidate to ensure that he has traditional rulers at heart if emerged.
