Lafenwa Market leader, Alhaji Adeyinka Jubilates Over Abiodun's Re-election

The Co-ordinator of the popular Lafenwa Market in Abeokuta Ogun state, Alhaji Musa Adeyinka has congratulated the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun on his re-election in the governorship and state House of Assembly poll.

Alhaji Adeyinka  in a statement made available to newsmen in Abeokuta, the state capital on Monday, said Abiodun deserves the victory for the continuity of his developmental strides in the state.

He hopes that the second term tenure of Abiodun would bring development to the Lafenwa Market and improve the state economy in general.

His words "I want to on behalf of all market women and men at Lafenwa Market in Abeokuta congratulate governor Dapo Abiodun on his re-election as the governor of Ogun state. We hope that Governor Abiodun's second term will bring more development to Lafenwa Market and  our state in General.

According to Adeyinka, all the traders at Lafenwa Market had, before the election, wished that the governor would win the poll in order to complete the work he had begun in Lafenwa.

He equally noted that the first term administration of Dapo Abiodun had brought true democracy as well as rejuvenated the key sectors which were formally in a dwindling condition.

"Of course, true democracy is the function of true democratic leadership who understand the pros and cons  of democracy. Governor Dapo Abiodun is one of the few figures in Ogun state we can find among these leaders. His administration has indeed brought true democracy to our state.

"This is why we earnestly desired re-election prior to the election and today we are elated that our desire has come to pass.

Adeyinka appealed to Abiodun to prioritize the interest of the market women and men as well as Lafenwa Market during his second term.

Adeyinka, noting that the Small and Medium Scale businesses play a role in boosting the economy of a nation,  argued that the second term success of the governor will largely depend on how well he could explore the opportunity.

Adeyinka also commended the  Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ogun state for conducting a free, fair and credible exercise.

His words: "We will not forget to commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a job well done. The election can be judged as free, fair and credible. "
