Ogun NNPP Gov Candidate Promises To Clear Pension, Tackle Electricity if…

The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) Olufemi Ajadi has promised to clear N68billion pension and gratuity of retired civil servants from N500billion 2023 budget if elected Governor on Saturday.

Ajadi who spoke at a media parley on Wednesday with journalists in Ogun state, stressed the pensioners have worked tirelessly and have contributed to the economic growth of the state.

He added that he sees the pensioners as number one citizen of the state saying that their gratuity will be cleared and the remaining 432bn will be used to develop Ogun State.

Ajadi also stressed that he has no plan of alligning with the Governorship candidate of APC, Dapo Abiodun and that of PDP, Ladi Adebutu ahead of the Saturday election as rumour has it.

He said "No negotiation, nobody has the funds to buy my party. I, Olufemi Ajadi can tell you that all the politicians have no funds to buy my party so far I am still standing as an ambassador for the Nigerian youths.

" I can never sell my right, I still stand on my feet. We are not negotiating with any political party and we are not ready to negotiate.

When asked whether the existence of APC and the PDP was a threat to his victory, Ajadi stated that he is not afraid of the parties, arguing that election is all about competition.

" I want to tell you that I'm not scared of any political party because it is time for the youths in Ogun state to take over. That is why I don't have any fear or anybody to fear in this race. I believe in total victory by the grace of God.

He added "Politicians made me understand that it is always good to have an alliance with other political parties to come out victorious, I don't believe in such, I only believe in God. "

He, therefore, assured residents of the state of stable power supply.

He said, “There is no stable electricity and that has been killing our economy, but I will partner with electricity companies. I have promised the people with operation no potholes. I’m going to improve on the road infrastructural development in Ogun State."
