Asiwaju for Shettima organization has congratulated Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima on their victory at the February 25 presidential election.
In a congratulatory message to the president-elect and vice president-elect, the convener of Asiwaju for Shettima organization, Dr Adetunji Oredipe, expressed confidence in their abilities to lead Nigeria out of the woods.
Adetunji said their emergence speaks so much about their celebrated competencies, capacities and capabilities to return the country to the path of development, peace and progress.
According to him, " I wish the president-elect and his vice president-elect, a fruitful tenure that would bring about unrivaled development and economic advancement to the nation and its people. Nigeria will be better for this singular decision”.
The Director General of the organization, Hon Odunola Segun described Tinubu/Shettima victory as a triumph of the people’s will and said that Nigerians should be ready for a new era of greatness and human-sensitive governance.
“Let me sincerely congratulate our President-elect and his vice for their victory at the just concluded presidential election. I equally congratulate all those who won various other positions.
" This is good for our democracy and shows that we are making progress as a nation.
He expressed confidence that Senator Kashim Shettima, a representative of the Borno Central Senatorial District and a former two-term governor of Borno State, was a wise option and capable of collaborating with the president-elect to take Nigeria to greater heights.
Meanwhile, the Publicity Secretary of the organization Prince Hadi Sani described the presidential election as a fair and honest exercise that permitted the full expression of the sovereign will of the Nigerian people.
