Akeem Okebunmi Elected As Ogun FA Board Member

The Club Manager of Juvenile FC, Chief Akeem Okebunmi, a football club owned by business mogul and philanthropist, Alhaji Ibrahim Dende was on Thursday elected as executive member of Ogun State Football Association. 

Chief Okebunmi who is the Otun-Akeweje Ilaro-Yewa polled a total votes of 22 to emerge unopposed at an Election Congress held at Agro Tera Gulf Resort, Ijoga-Orile, Yewa North local government area of Ogun state.

Chief Okebunmi alongside eight others were elected to steer the affairs of football administration in Ogun state for the next four years.

Addressing journalists shortly after he was declared winner, the newly elected Ogun FA board member thanked God Almighty for the privilege to serve as a member of the board.

He eulogized Chief Ibrahim Dende for supporting him through the campaign period.

He enjoined other FA members to give him the needed support to revitalize the growth of football in Ilaro and Yewaland by extension.

He called on the Ogun state government to rehabilitate the Ilaro International stadium to encourage the youths to engage in more sporting activities.

According to him, football development in Yewa area of Ogun state would reduce smuggling and other anti-crimes.

Other elected Ogun FA board members are: Alhaji Ganiyu Majekodunmi (Chairman), Mr. Akinkunmi Julius (Vice Chairman), Mr. Abiodun Odejinmi (Board Member), Fatai Oyerogba (member), Mr. Akeem Adeyemi (Member), Mr. Orenuga (member), Prince Olayinka Adesola (member) and Mr. Femi Bamigboye (member).
