In a press conference to commemorate the event, held at the church’s headquarters in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.
Bishop Alaya provided insights into what promises to be an enriching spiritual gathering.
The Bishop said the convention scheduled to kick off on October 29th 2023 , will bring together the faithful from approximately 80 branches of the church in Abeokuta.
He added that the event is a week-long spiritual celebration filled with the sharing of God's word, miracles, signs, and wonders.
According to him "Key events at the convention include an "Online Ministers & Workers Conference" from Sunday, October 29th, to Tuesday, October 31st, 2023, starting at 7 pm. Additionally, the "Hosanna Night" will be held on Friday, November 3rd, 2023, commencing at 10 pm. On Saturday, November 4th, 2023, various meetings are scheduled, catering to different age groups. This includes the Children's Meeting, Teens Meeting, Singles & Youth Meeting, and a Holy Communion Service.
"The grand finale and Thanksgiving Service are set for Sunday, November 5th, 2023, starting at 9 am."
Meanwhile, Bishop Isreal Olusegun Alaya while speaking to newsmen addressed leadership in Nigeria.
He emphasized that Nigeria is a nation richly endowed with resources, but the country's primary challenge is leadership.
He noted, "Nigeria is blessed with everything except a good leader."
He called for a shift in the cultural mindset, asserting that change in culture will bring out leaders who will truly represent the nation.
"Many people are struggling to be in leadership position , tell me which university teaches about leadership as a discipline . Leadership is not about position , leadership only give us opportunity . Position only give us opportunity to practice leadership . If we are going to get it right in this country we have to look into our culture , if we can change our culture, then the leaders that will come will represent us well."
Bishop Alaya also appealed to the federal government to include leadership as a course in tertiary institutions to help upcoming generations learn about what it takes to become a leader.
“Sometimes many people we see are struggling to be in leadership positions. But tell me which university teaches about leadership, what courses in our university can you call a leadership course even as a discipline, and yet we are creating positions. People think that once I get a position, I’m a leader. No, leadership is not about position. Leadership only gives us opportunities. And the position only allows us to practice leadership.
Bishop Alaya unveiled his commitment to launch a leadership broadcast program aimed at educating individuals on the essence of leadership and its significance in building a prosperous nation.
Adding to the excitement, Bishop Alaya announced that the convention will feature the launch of his book titled "Divine Direction."
The Dominion World Convention is not only a spiritual gathering but also a platform for discussing vital societal issues and promoting the values of effective leadership. With the convention starting on the 29th of October 2023 , it is anticipated that attendees will experience a transformative and spiritually enriching week, as they come together in fellowship and reflection.
