The Executive Chairman expressed his happiness to be part of the program as the chief security officer of the local government/ Special guest, Amb.Ogunsola in his speech stated that "No doubt, the issue of security challenges in Nigeria is now rampant ,taking a new dimension to include terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, cultism, etc and as such is becoming major concern for the citizens, especially here in Ogun and Lagos states being the commercial nerves centres of the country.
Hence, the need for all stakeholders to put in place necessary security apparatus towards addressing this ugly incidents cannot be overemphasized ".
The council boss also pledged regular assistance to every security outfits in Obafemi Owode Local Government area of Ogun State.
He admonished those who engaged in illicit acts of banditry, kidnapping cultism and others, to stay away for peace and tranquility to reign in our society, while the friendly,loving and peaceful ones should go about their normal businesses without fear of any threat especially this Ember period.
The Chairman aslo applauds the efforts of the Governor of Ogun State,His Excellency Prince Dr.Dapo Abiodun CON, for sustaining peace and harmony in Ogun State.
In his speech, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.Gen. T.A.Lagbaja appreciates the Council boss for his usual response to attend their ceremony despite his tight official activities and therefore assured of their unalloyed loyalty ,cooperation and safety of lives in bringing down insecurity to the lowest ebb.
