The Commissioner for Rural Development, Mrs. Olufemi Ilori Oduntan has called on staffers of the Ogun State Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), to remain focused and committed to duty in order to allow the government to achieve its lofty policies and programmes.
Mrs. Ilori Oduntan who was on a familiarization visit to the agency at Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, said transparency, accountability, and honesty should constantly be their watchword as they are the representatives of the government.
She noted that due diligence which is the policy thrust of the agency must be upheld at all times in awarding contracts while charging management and staff to be proactive and dynamic in the discharge of their duties.
On his part, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Adetayo Adewale said RAAMP as an agency of government has over time been ensuring reduction in post-harvest losses by farmers and infrastructural development in the rural areas in partnership with the World Bank and federal government, assuring the commissioner of unflinching support in ensuring that all government policies and programmes are duly carried out accordingly.
Earlier in his welcome address the Project Coordinator RAAMP, Engr. Muritala Adekunle appreciated the commissioner for the visit, pledging the agency's cooperation for the attainment of the state's growth.
