Pelican Valley CEO Bags City People Magazine Special Recognition Award

In a vibrant gathering at Billing Way Oregun, Ikeja, the 8th edition of the esteemed Real Estate Awards 2023, hosted by City People Magazine, celebrated the efforts of individuals, corporate organizations, and government entities.

Among the distinguished awardees were (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo, a prominent figure in Ogun State's real estate sector, who received the prestigious City People Magazine Special Recognition Award for his remarkable contributions.

The ceremony also acknowledged the Lagos State Government, real estate player Deola Igbokwe, and Arc Layi Ladipo, recognizing their substantial roles in the real estate landscape. 

Dr. Adeyemo, an ECOWAS Youth Ambassador and Anti-Corruption Ambassador, is the CEO of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, a leading real estate firm responsible for notable projects such as Pelican Valley Estate and Pelican's Greenish Acres Farm Estate in Ogun State.

Seye Kehinde, the event's convener, emphasized the significance of the awards in appreciating those addressing housing challenges. 

Despite economic challenges affecting the industry, Kehinde highlighted exceptional performers like Dr. Adeyemo, underscoring the awards' purpose to celebrate, encourage, and inspire further contributions to the real estate sector.

Expressing his gratitude, Dr. Adeyemo, a veteran journalist turned realtor, felt honoured by the recognition from a senior colleague in the journalism profession. 

He attributed his success in the real estate business to passion, creativity, and a commitment to integrity and quality service delivery.

Dr. Adeyemo proudly shared that his real estate projects had enjoyed full government approval for the last three and a half years, emphasizing the company's commitment to integrity, due diligence, and positive client feedback.

 He cited the unique Pelican Valley Estate in Abeokuta as a testament to the company's dedication to creating exceptional living spaces.

The Commissioner for Housing, Lagos State, Hon. Moruf Akinderu–Fatai, expressed gratitude for the recognition of Lagos State's efforts in housing development. 

He highlighted the delivery of over 3,000 housing units, ongoing projects, and key initiatives to regulate the real estate sector, train artisans, and promote alternative ownership models.

Notable figures at the event included veteran actor Mr. Kayode Sehinde, also known as Ajirebi, Television co-host and real estate player Mrs. Tope Odigie, and Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo–Olu on Housing, Barr. Barakat Odunnuga.
