Ogun Waterside Chairman Hon. Mudashir , Wraps Up 2023 with Transformative Projects Across LG

The Executive Chairman of Ogun Waterside Local Government, Hon. Mudashir Abdul-Lateef Adekunle, concludes the year 2023 with a series of commendable projects benefiting the community. 

These initiatives include road maintenance from J4 junction to Iwopin, enhancing traffic flow, reducing accidents, and bolstering security.

 Noteworthy achievements also encompassed the renovation of the Administrative building, Executive Chairman's office, and the Legislative Chamber, along with the provision of modern furniture for an improved legislative environment.
Furthermore, Hon. Mudashir prioritized education by renovating a block of three classrooms at the Community Primary School, Iwopin. 

Health facilities received attention with the procurement of 45 hospital beddings, while the only grader underwent renovation to facilitate the grading of rural roads across the ten wards. These endeavors aimed at easing movement of goods and services during the dry season.

The Chairman's proactive approach to infrastructure development gained attention, especially as residents returned for the festive season. Looking ahead to the new year, projects are planned for St. Mathias Primary School, Ilusin, the Local Government Secretariat, and the Health Centre in Ita Ogun.
In addressing the longstanding power supply challenges, Hon. Ogunfuyi Omolara, Supervisor for Works and Housing, highlighted the Chairman's initiative to combat darkness. 

Following the theft of high tension cables, the Chairman installed 120 solar-powered streetlights eight months ago, with an additional 500 units recently procured for widespread illumination across the local government. This move is set to transform the nightscape and improve safety for residents and visitors alike.
During a meeting with Transportation Union Executives, the local government boss emphasized safe driving practices during the harmattan season, extending heartfelt wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
