NTA Chapel Holds Inspirational New Year Prayer Session for Journalists In Ogun

In a recent event, the NTA Abeokuta Chapel organized its New Year prayer session, drawing attention to the significance of courage, determination, and divine inspiration in the pursuit of truthful and balanced reportage.

Reverend Mrs. Fola Achudume, wife of Apostle Lawrence Achudume, the founder of Victory Life Bible Church, delivered a soul-lifting address.

She emphasized the vital role of maintaining a strong connection with God for journalists in Ogun State, underscoring the importance of sustaining the noble essence of their profession.

Highlighting the esteemed regard she and her husband hold for the Ogun State Council of NUJ, Reverend Achudume expressed their commitment to continually pray for the union's progress. 

She urged journalists to patiently wait for divine guidance and stressed the powers of illumination, instructions, and empowerment as essential for navigating the transformative journey in their field.
Addressing questions from journalists post-prayer session, Reverend Mrs. Achudume encouraged women to approach their roles with Godly fear, emphasizing the impact of leaving a positive legacy for future generations. She underscored the significance of using opportunities wisely and upholding integrity.

The Acting General Manager of NTA Abeokuta Kehinde Onada represented by the Manager News NTA, Doris olumoko
commended the NTA Chapel's initiative in organizing the New Year prayer, considering it a welcomed development.

 He pledged the station's commitment to broadcasting credible news and programs while assuring staff of an improved welfare package in 2024. Onada challenged the staff to surpass the achievements of the previous year.
Comrade Wale Olanrewaju, Chairman of NUJ Ogun State chapter, emphasized the importance of journalists in society and urged colleagues to uphold truth with renewed determination. Acknowledging the risks associated with journalism, he stressed the societal call for journalists to speak the truth and stand by it.

Comrade Adeyemi Dalemo, Chairman of NTA Chapel, expressed gratitude to all attendees and underscored the need for journalists to commit their ways to God for protection in their challenging roles.
