Speaking at a Security Stakeholders' meeting convened in the town, Hon. Ogunsola reassured the community of ongoing efforts by both local and state authorities to address the situation.
He emphasized the importance of vigilance among residents and urged them to promptly report any suspicious activities to security agencies.
The meeting, which saw the participation of security agencies, traditional rulers, Chiefs, youth leaders, and local security outfits, underscored the collaborative approach being taken to safeguard lives and properties.
Hon. Ogunsola reiterated the commitment of the State government to tackle the issue, reassuring residents that there is no cause for alarm.
Emphasizing the importance of collective action in maintaining peace and security, Hon. Ogunsola urged residents to cooperate with authorities and play their part in safeguarding their community.
He underscored the role of citizens in supporting government and security agencies by providing timely and relevant information.
The chairman urged residents to remain law-abiding and vigilant, reiterating the readiness of security agencies to uphold their mandate of ensuring the safety and security of all residents.
“I want to urge you all to be law-abiding and not to hesitate in raising an alarm when you notice suspicious activities in your community.
“Security remained everyone’s business, you should be able to work with the government in containing any threat that could potentially disturb the peace in the community” he concluded
In his remarks , High Chief Olakunle Olalekan, the Asiwaju of Orile Imo, urged residents to remain calm amidst the situation, emphasizing the unwavering dedication of traditional rulers to ensure the security and wellbeing of the community.
