Eid-el-Kabir: Ogun Lawmaker Tella, Urges Muslims to Emulate Spirit of Obedience, Sacrifice

As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly Representing Abeokuta North State Constituency Hon. Babatunde Tella, has congratulated the Muslim community in the state on this auspicious occasion.

In a statement released by his office, Hon. Tella expressed his warmest wishes to the Muslim faithful, praying that the celebration brings joy, peace, and prosperity to all.

The lawmaker noted that Eid-el-Kabir symbolizes the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son, Ismail, in obedience to Allah's command, and urged Muslims to emulate the prophet's spirit of obedience, sacrifice, and devotion to faith.

Hon. Tella also used the occasion to appeal for unity, love, and harmony among all Nigerians, regardless of their religious beliefs or backgrounds.

He emphasized the importance of peaceful coexistence, saying that it is only through unity and harmony that the country can achieve its goals and develop rapidly.

"I urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on their lives, seek forgiveness from Allah, and pray for the peace and progress of the country."

Hon. Tella reiterated his commitment to serve the people of his constituency and the state at large, and wished everyone a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
