June 12: PDP Chieftain, Toyin Amuzu urges Nigerians to put aside political differences, work together for a brighter future

Nigerians have been urged to come together to work for the progress of the nation and remain committed to democratic values and principles to ensure the country's continued growth and prosperity. 

A prominent member of the People's Democratic Party, PDP and candidate for the house of representatives in Abeokuta South for the 2023 elections, Chief Toyin Amuzu gave this advice in a statement to mark this year's democracy day. 

Chief Amuzu said, though the times are hard, citizens must not give up but continue to hold their representatives accountable and always ask questions. 

He said, "we must strive to strengthen our institutions and uphold democracy as a good base of government. 

Chief Amuzu who acknowledged the struggles and sacrifices of martyrs including Chief MKO Abiola, Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, Alfred Rewane among many other patriots who gave us democracy, urged Nigerians to honour this legacy by promoting unity, justice and equality for all citizens. 

He emphasized the importance of putting aside political differences and work together for the betterment of the Country. 

Chief Amuzu urged every citizen to remain in unity and be committed to democratic values and principles which would enhance the country's common good. 

The PDP Chieftain also encouraged Nigerians to celebrate the Nation's diversity and foster a spirit of inclusivity while striving for a brighter future for themselves and generations to come.
