Bobrisky Freed from Prison After Serving Six-Month Sentence-OXYGIST

Nigerian crossdresser Idris Okunneye, known as Bobrisky, has been released from prison. Bobrisky had served a six-month sentence for abusing naira notes, a ruling handed down by Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos on April 12, 2024.

A video shows Bobrisky alongside Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao. Another unidentified woman is seen congratulating the crossdresser in the video.

Earlier, the Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) addressed rumors regarding Bobrisky's detention conditions. It was speculated that Bobrisky was living in a VIP apartment within the Kirikiri correctional facility. However, the NCoS firmly refuted these claims.

Rotimi Oladokun, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Command, clarified in a statement released on Saturday that Bobrisky was not receiving any special treatment and was sharing a cell with other inmates. Oladokun emphasized that the facility does not have en-suite or 'one-bedroom flat' style cells, explaining that the infrastructure is designed to accommodate multiple inmates without providing exclusive amenities for any individual.
