The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council, has joined in celebrating the 60th birthday of Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, representing Ogun Central Senatorial District.
In a statement signed by Chairman Wale Olanrewaju and Secretary Bunmi Adigun, the NUJ commended Senator Salisu for his exemplary leadership and dedication to serving the people of Ogun State and Nigeria.
The union acknowledged his contributions as Chairman of the Senate Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity and Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity.
The NUJ also expressed gratitude for Senator Salisu's support for the journalism profession, citing his visits to the council and interactions with journalists in Ogun State.
"We commend Senator Salisu for being a silent achiever, dedicating himself to the service of the people at the grassroots. His commitment to the National Assembly is evident in his unwavering dedication to the welfare of his constituents.
