Protesters Defy Tinubu’s Order, Continue Demonstrations in Lagos-OXYGIST

Protesters have defied President Bola Tinubu's directive to halt the ongoing nationwide demonstrations, expressing their discontent with his recent address to the nation. Many found it unfortunate that it took Tinubu three days of protest to respond to the country's growing concerns.

In Lagos, the protests continued with renewed vigor. On Monday, a half-dressed man joined demonstrators at Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota, voicing his frustration over the hardships and poor governance in Nigeria.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the man can be heard chanting in Yoruba, "We are angry, we are hungry," reflecting the widespread sentiment among the protesters.

Juwon Sanyaolu, tweeting as #AyowoleSanyaolu, encouraged more people to join, stating, “Protest has started in Ojota; if you are still home, and not here at freedom park you are wrong!”
