Paris Saint-Germain has officially confirmed that Dutch international Xavi Simons will return to RB Leipzig on loan for another season.
The 21-year-old midfielder, who played a pivotal role for Leipzig last season, will continue his development in the Bundesliga. Earlier in the summer transfer window, Simons expressed his desire to leave PSG for the upcoming season, attracting interest from top European clubs such as Bayern Munich and Manchester United.
Bayern Munich seemed to be leading the race for his signature. However, Simons opted to return to Leipzig, where he had a successful loan spell last season. Under the guidance of Marco Rose, Simons made 43 appearances across all competitions, contributing 8 goals and 15 assists.
