In another distressing attack, armed bandits have abducted six farmers(four men and two women),while they were working on their farms in the Gidan Busa community, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a local leader, the abduction took place on Monday, September 23, around 5 PM. The farmers were busy tending to their fields when the heavily armed assailants stormed the area, seizing them at gunpoint.
Upon receiving news of the attack, vigilantes from the nearby Jobgwom village were quickly mobilized and launched a search operation in the surrounding forest to locate the kidnappers and their captives.
The same community leader also reported another attack that occurred earlier in the day. Bandits invaded a Fulani settlement in Gadan-Malam Maman, a neighboring village, where they rustled several cows. During the raid, the armed men injured two villagers as they fled with the stolen livestock.
Local authorities have been informed of both incidents, and troops are now involved in efforts to track down the attackers and rescue the abducted farmers.
