Nigeria @64: Abeokuta North APC Chairman Urges Unity, Support for Tinubu

As Nigeria celebrates its 64th Independence anniversary, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, Alhaja Faidat Sarumi Akintunde, has called on Nigerians to unite in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration. 

In a statement released to mark the country’s independence, Akintunde emphasized the need for collective effort to drive the nation towards prosperity.

Alhaja Akintunde praised the strides made by the Tinubu-led administration so far, noting that unity and cooperation among citizens are crucial to overcoming the country’s challenges. 

She acknowledged that the journey has not been easy but expressed optimism about the future under Tinubu's leadership.

The APC chairman further stressed the importance of patriotism and dedication to national growth. 

She said " with the country facing numerous issues such as insecurity, economic instability, and infrastructural deficits, citizens' support for the government is essential for achieving lasting solutions. 

" I believe President Tinubu’s experience and policies could transform Nigeria if everyone works in concert.

"Independence day celebration, is a time for reflection on how far the nation has come and the work needed to move it forward.

 "I urge Nigerians to look beyond ethnic, religious, and political differences and unite under a common goal of national development."

In her statement, she also called on APC members in Abeokuta North to rally behind Tinubu, ensuring that the government’s initiatives are effectively implemented at the grassroots level. 

She stated that the party at the local level would play a pivotal role in translating the federal government's vision into reality in their community.

The party chairman  encouraged the youth to actively participate in nation-building, stressing that their involvement is critical for the country's growth. 

Akintunde said "young people must seize the opportunities provided by the current administration to become agents of change.

"I urged all Nigerians to keep hope alive and continue to support the government’s efforts to strengthen the economy and ensure national security."

She expressed confidence that with determination and unity, Nigeria would overcome its current challenges and emerge stronger.
