Lagos Police Discover Shop Selling Human Parts in Oyingbo Market-OXYGIST

In a shocking revelation, the Lagos State Police Command has arrested three suspects linked to the sale of human parts at Oyingbo Market. The arrests were made on October 15 after operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) discovered human tongues in a taxi during a routine stop-and-search operation on Otedola Bridge.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Command spokesperson, the suspects were caught transporting the human parts in the taxi, which led to their immediate apprehension. Following the arrest, further investigations uncovered that the parts had been purchased from a shop in Oyingbo Market, Lagos.

SP Hundeyin confirmed this development in a post shared on his social media handle, where he detailed how two of the suspects were initially detained during the stop-and-search operation. Their capture led the police to the third suspect, who is believed to have sold the human parts at the notorious market.

“The investigation is currently ongoing at the command headquarters, and the suspects will face charges if found guilty,” the police spokesperson added.

This incident has raised concerns about the alarming rise in illegal activities and the black market trade of human parts in Lagos, particularly at markets like Oyingbo. The police have assured the public that they are committed to cracking down on such criminal enterprises to ensure the safety and security of all residents.
