Renowned Nollywood star, Funke Akindele, has called on Nigerians to put an end to cyberbullying, emphasizing the power of words in either uplifting or hurting others.
Taking to her Instagram page, the actress shared this heartfelt plea, urging her followers to choose kindness over cruelty, especially on social media.
“Spread love! Be kind!” she wrote. “I want to remind everyone that we all have our stories, and the words we speak or type can either build someone up or tear them down.”
Funke emphasized the silent struggles many people face, urging her fans to think twice before engaging in negative behavior online. She encouraged the creation of a positive and supportive environment for all.
“Let’s stop bullying, both physical and emotional, because words really do matter. To my amazing fans, let’s spread kindness and positivity. Ignore the hate, and let your light shine. Together, we can build a community where everyone feels valued and loved,” she added.
